Densified Wood Laminates
Phenolam Densified Wood Laminates are high-density laminated wood composites manufactured by impregnating selected wood veneers with specially formulated resin and consolidating them under controlled temperature and pressure.
The resulting material combines the light weight and machinability of wood with improved mechanical strength, dimensional stability, electrical insulation and resistance to impact and wear.
Densified Wood Laminates are particularly suitable for applications where a strong, lightweight and electrically insulating material is required.
Densified Wood Laminates are widely used for:
- Transformer components
- Transformer clamping and supporting components
- Electrical insulation blocks
- Insulating spacers and barriers
- Switchgear components
- Busbar support components
- High-voltage electrical equipment
- Mechanical support components
- Gears and bushes
- Bearing components
- Wear-resistant components
- Jigs, fixtures and tooling
- Structural and load-bearing insulation components
